Current Representative to the County Board, District #2, Elected December, 2010. Currently serving a Chairman of Roads and Capital Improvements, Member of Finance Commitee, City County Coordinating Committee, and Planning, Zoning and Building Committee.
Elected to Boone County Board, Dist. #3 for 6 years (12/1996-12/2002), serving for 6 years on the County's Public Safety Committee, and served as principle on-site liason between County government, the Boone County Sheriff's department, and the contractors and architects for Construction of new $9 million Boone County Jail addition.
6 years on City-County Coordinating (four as Chairman), and chief liason between Boone County Government and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency regarding Landfill Closure and brownfields mediation issues.
7 years on Finance Committee serving as Vice Chair for 4 years where I was county representative regarding all Union Contract Negotiations.
2 years on Administrative & Legislative Committee.
6 years on Public Safety Committee
7 years on Planning, Zoning and Building Committee.
7 years of County Budget experience.

Appointed to Boone County Board of Review (Property Tax), 1999 to present. Vice Chairmans since 2006. I hold a CIAO (Certified Illinois Assessment Officer) Certification from the State of Illinois and have earned over 150 hours of professional assessment training hours.

BUSINESS EXPERIENCE:

32+ years experience in office management, employee supervision, scheduling and training for staffs ranging from 6 to 30 persons.
20+ years experience training, educating & consulting with individuals and groups on wide variety of office computer programs and Internet operations & skills.
Developed and programmed web sites for Boone County, City of Belvidere, Belvidere Park District, Rock River Water Reclamation District, Belvidere Area Chamber of Commerce, Belvidere Family YMCA, Ida Public Library, Boone County Community web site and many more.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:

Six Member of Boone County Council on Aging Board of Directors/ Keen Age Center since 1999, elected Board Secretary in 2003.
Appointed Member of Boone County Property Tax Board of Review since 1999. I also earned my Certified Illinois Assessment Officer (CIAO) designation in 2000 after 6 months of extensive study and exams.
Former Chair Boone County Tourism, Committee, volunteer for Growth Dimensions, SCORE, Chamber of Commerce, Belvidere Main Street Center, Boone County Millennium Committee, and Main Street Players Theatre Group.
Festival Administrator for 1st Annual Belvidere Wheels Festival, 1999.
Secretary St. James PTA '94-'95.
Co-Chair for Education Funding Committee, St. James PTA "Live Concert for Kids" 1995.
President, PTA, Boone County Center, '90-'91.

Won the Belvidere Park District Logo Design Competition, Fall 1993.
